GRANITE WALL (100+ miles) - This route will take cyclists across the agricultural flatlands of the San Joaquin Valley via historic Garces Hwy 155, through to the settlement town of Woody. From the rest stop, cyclists continue their climb up through the mountains toward Glenville, CA via Hwy 155 to Granite Road. Cyclists will descend southbound back through hillside rancheros of Woody via Granite Rd. to Tule Road.  There will be a stop in McFarland at Browning Community Park.  Riders will head back through the city of Delano northwest to the town of Allensworth. Riders will experience some of the most beautiful frontier countryside in the southern Sierras. Due to changes in elevation and weather, and traffic this route is RECOMMENDED FOR ADVANCED RIDERS or Experienced Century Riders.
Who was Colonel Allensworth?
A former slave and army chaplain in the black 24th infantry Buffalo Soldiers who teamed up with a gifted black teacher named William Payne to create a colony of opportunity in 1900s Central Valley California:

WOODY ROAD WESTERN TRAIL (90 + miles) - This quiet route will take cyclists across the valley via historic Garces Hwy 155 to the settlement town of Woody. After a brief rest stop, it’s southbound across the countryside’s rolling hills of longhorn, sheep, horses and squirrels, through the prairie lands via Woody Rd. towards Tule Road. There will be a stop at Browning Community Park in McFarland, CA. From there riders will head northwest through the city of Delano to the town of Allensworth. THIS ROUTE IS FOR INTERMEDIATE RIDERS - ROLLING HILLS
The FIREHOUSE (80 miles) – This route takes cyclists across the agricultural flatlands of the San Joaquin Valley via historic Garces Hwy 155, through to the settlement town of Woody. From the rest stop at the Firehouse and Historic settlement cabin, cyclists will turn around and descend back down Garces Hwy 155 to Browning Community Park in McFarland, CA. From there the riders will head back to the town of Allensworth. This is an up and back ride.  Although most of this route is flat, riders will still experience some beautiful ranchlands at the base of the foothills. This route is for BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE

Ride Descriptions:
AFTER THE RIDE: The ride will conclude with a Buffalo Soldier style BBQ lunch, and centennial celebration festival of the founding of Allensworth at the town's center.  There will be interesting exhibits, great food, good music, arts and crafts.  You can also tour the towns square, narrated by Friends of Allensworth docents.
